We invite you to join us for the second annual Google in Education Singapore Summit to be held at the Singapore American School on September 7 and 8, 2013. This high intensity two day event focuses on deploying, integrating, and using Google Apps for Education and other Google Tools to promote student learning in K-12 and higher education. The program features Google Certified Teachers, Google Apps for Education Certified Trainers, practicing administrators, solution providers, Google engineers, and representatives from the Google education teams.

K-12 EdTech Coordinator
Dion Norman is currently the K-12 EdTech Coordinator at the Canadian International School in Singapore. He works closely with the Head of Educational Technology and the EdTech team at CIS to support staff, students and families in the effective integration of technology.

He has developed K-12 technology integration standards based around ISTE and SAMR, coordinated major schoolwide projects, including the One to World iPad programme and Common Sense Digital Citizenship Certification implementation. Dion has also developed a series of online professional development courses for onboarding new staff known as Teacher Basic Use Skills (TBUS).

Dion started his career as a classroom teacher where he demonstrated a passion for using technology to enhance teaching and learning. He later spent two years as an EdTech Coach before moving into his current role.

Dion has presented at a number of international conferences, including the Google Summit, Learning 2.0, DEEP Learners, BETT and the IBO regional conference.

As a Common Sense Education Certified Educator and Ambassador, Dion promotes the importance of Digital CItizenship in schools and supports educators in integrating these lessons and becoming certified as Common Sense Educators.
